The xTechnology Suite is an attempt to design a SDK that is solely optimized for Windows Mobile devices. This means the different components aren't copied or re-used from the desktop environment, but are build completely from scratch using only the .NET Compact Framework and Windows Mobile APIs.
The xTechnology Suite is a collection of xTechnology Toolkits, and each of these toolkits targets a specific problem area on the device.
At the moment the following xTechnology Toolkits are available or under construction:
- The xPositioning Toolkit.
This toolkit allows developers to add location awareness to their applications in no-time. This advanced location awareness can be exact (using available GPS hardware) or approximate (using Google Gears GeoLocation), but is still easy to implement. - The xInput Toolkit.
- The xGui Toolkit.
The xGui Toolkit allows mobile developers to use advanced visual enhancements within no-time. Developers can now easily boost the usability of their applications to the max, and can realize easy-to-use applications like the ones found on the Iphone within no time. - The xFramework Toolkit.
